This meditation will take us back to a day of absolute relaxation.  The purpose is to let your mind relax, clear your thoughts, and find a moment of clarity and peace.

Sit back and relax, the feeling you have as you enter this meditation is familiar to you, your body feels light, your mind at ease, your breathing is slow and steady.  This time as we move towards a state of meditation you will find that with every word you fall slowly into that state of relaxed rest; listen to the sound of my voice, the noise all around, your breathing; everything helps to encourage that sensation.  As you take your next breath feel that as you exhale a haze floats over your mind, take it steady, take it slow, another exhale and the haze continues, the feeling is that of walking through a silk curtain, as you pass through the curtain with every slow and easy breath, the images become easier to see, focusing on each word become less important, and you will find yourself here, where relaxation meets daydream; this is our destination.

The day is warm, the sun is high, and the clouds that drift through the sky are complex though unthreatening.  Their distant shapes glow white with the sun, the blue of the sky radiates serenity, the trill of birds in the distance echo the sensation of peace.  Take a deep breath, as your mind builds the details of this place; you see the sky, the clouds, the brilliant sun.  The weather is not too hot; it is a little warm, just warm enough to encourage you to find a soft place in the shade to lie down.  You’ve spent the day working too hard, that feeling is cemented in your bones, but knowing that affords you the chance to take it easy now, to let go of the events of the day and let your mind trace the contours of the clouds over head.

Underneath a tree is a place in the shade that’s comfortable, knowing you could relax makes it look even more desirable.  Take a step closer, take a steady breath, lay back and relax.  As you do feel your aches and pains flow out through your fingertips, as you stretch feel the earth absorb your thoughts, your mind releasing anxiety as you look through the tree leaves towards the sky.  Specs float in your vision lazily, imagine your eyes closing, feeling safe, let your thoughts rest, and let your body relax.  This feeling of relaxation is overwhelming, look left and right at your leisure there is green everywhere, plants that seem to sigh with every passing breeze.  The air under the shade is ideal, the weather perfect.

Take a moment to let your mind explore, look around, feel the grass against your body, the breeze over your skin and through your hair.  Calm and peaceful as the events of your week wash past you into the earth, leaving you rested, relaxed, and able to face another week with confidence and clarity.

When you feel ready, take a slow and steady breath and hear the words; one, coming up now, two; lighter still… and three, fully awake and rested.

Please share with me your thoughts and feelings, what we see there is different for everyone and I’d love to hear some of your details, or suggestions; please take a moment to share this post with someone you know that might need a bit of a break.

Thank you.

Guided meditations don’t work for me. I need total and complete silence or my mind will find something to attach itself to and not be budged. It’s taken me a long time to learn how to clear the slate and my mind still thinks it’s the boss, LOL!

    Claudious,

Let me know if you order a tassel. They look great on dressers, lamps, hutches, etc….

    Happy Saturday!

Claudia, I’m sorry guided meditations don’t work for you, at lease it’s the kind of thing you can do on your own. It sounds like you’ve found ways around your mind to get a clear slate though, how do you do it?
